Infertility Support Group
Suffering with infertility seems like such a lonely disability when most people have no problem adding leaves to their family trees. But you are not alone. In the fall of 1997, a handful of people gathered in the Mission Center at 711 W. Monroe Street with no true mission. However, over time, they became a resource for the latest in adoption and medical information, a listening ear when there was no one else we wanted to confide in, a comforting hand when things looked dim and a source of hope as couples started to become parents.
Today, when the group gathers it is a family event. Starting this fall, we would like to gather individuals and/or couples who are anxiously awaiting becoming parents. If you or someone you know could benefit from such a group as ours, please call Wina Shelley at 773.581.7724.
