Service Opportunity
I am very excited to inform you of an upcoming service opportunity. This year College Ministry will be traveling to Waterloo, IA to work with Habitat for Humanity again. We will be leaving on Monday, June 14 and returning Sunday, June 20, so mark your calendars!

The cost of the trip will be approximately $300 per person, so I suggest you start fundraising as soon as possible. As someone who has been on more than a few trips, I implore you to look past the cost and scheduling difficulties - because in the end, having the chance to help others in need is a priceless experience.

If you are interested in participating, please email college.ministry@oldstpats.org and return the registration form by May 1, 2010.

Introducing Old St. Pat’s College Ministry!

The years between high school and the real world are recognized by most as, “the best years of one’s life” and it is time the OSP got in on the fun.  The goal of Old St. Pat’s College Ministry is to aid in the spiritual, social, and service interests of Old St. Pat’s college-age members as well as those from the surrounding area.

Goals of Old St. Pat’s College Ministry:

  • Give college students a central base for their faith both while they are away and when they are home through technology and social and service activities in the community.
  • Provide a way to connect college students with one other and their Church.
  • Participate in a summer service trip in order to serve those less fortunate and build connections.
  • Offer networking and service opportunities to students looking to begin a new chapter of their lives post-college.

Old St. Pat’s College Ministry will, for the most part, be student organized and run.  We want this program to hit the ground running, so we’d love your help in planning all of the different aspects.  We are especially looking for help in planning a summer service trip for college students!

If College Ministry sounds like something you or someone you know would be interested in, we would love to have you join us.  Please join our Facebook group, “Old St. Pat’s College Ministry” or send us an email so can receive exciting updates at college.ministry@oldstpats.org.

We’re looking forward to seeing you soon!
