Zip Code Gatherings
Old St. Pat’s Comes to Your Neighborhood!
“Zip Code Theology”
Speaker and Discussion Series
Old St. Pat’s is a large congregation drawing members from over 200 different zip codes. While it’s great to be part of a growing and vibrant experience of church, sometimes it’s challenging to feel connected to such a large community.
As a response to a growing membership, Fr. Wall and Fr. Hurley began inviting Old St. Pat’s members to host a “Zip Code Gathering” in their homes. These gatherings were meant to provide a simple way for members of Old St. Pat’s to come to know other members of our church who live nearby them. Fr. Hurley continues to work his way through the neighborhoods with one or two Zip Code Gatherings each month. To learn more about Zip Code Gatherings, please contact Bridget Evers at 312.831.9368.
Several years ago, people at one of our west suburban zip code gatherings decided that they wanted to continue to get together. In addition to time for casual socializing, they chose to gather monthly to explore questions of theology, church, and spirituality. In it’s fourth year, and led by Old St. Pat’s members Mary Kay Slowikowski and Ken Martin, “Zip Code Theology” has been a great success. And now, under the leadership of Shirley Widner, Anne Schank, and Patricia O’Brien; we have launched a new North Suburban location for Zip Code Theology. If these locations are convenient for you and you’re interested in lively and thought provoking conversations, please come join us! About Us | Mass Schedule | Events | Membership |
