COME RIDE YOUR BIKE with ENCORE to the South Shore Cultural Center
Ride along Chicago’s beautiful lakefront, make some new friends and celebrate with lunch at the Island Party Hut located at the east end of the Chicago Riverwalk.
If you are 50 years or better join us on Monday, August 21st.
We will meet at 9:45 a.m, at the flagpole by the Columbia Yacht Club which is located at the base of Randolph Street just off the bike trail. For those who enjoy a longer ride and free parking, some of us will meet at 9:00 a.m., at the Foster Avenue Beach parking lot. At first there is metered parking but a little further, around the curve, there is free parking available. The group will leave promptly to meet up with other riders at 9:45 a.m., at the Columbia Yacht Club. From there, we will ride as a group to the South Shore Cultural Center.
Total round trip distance from downtown approximately 18 miles; from Foster Avenue Beach approximately 34 miles. The pace will be leisurely. Bring water and a lock for your bike. Helmets required. In case of rain, check your email on the day of the ride.
