About our special guest speakers …
Rabbi Ari Poster Moffic was ordained in 2007 from Hebrew Union College. She has an undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Religious Studies, during which time she got slightly obsessed with Buddhism. She then went on to Baltimore to complete a Masters Degree in Jewish Education from Baltimore Hebrew University. She is the founder of CoHere (www.coherechicago.com) which is a concierge rabbinic practice based in the home. She visits families around their kitchen tables for Jewish learning. She is especially focused on supporting interfaith couples and families who are exploring Jewish life. Her husband (see below!) is also a Reform Rabbi in Highland Park and they are the proud parents of an 8 year old and 10 year old. She is open to mall walking or meeting for a coffee and discussing how it is someone from Boston now lives in Chicago with no ocean.
With Rabbi Evan Moffic, you will find an open, accessible guide to life’s deepest truths. He writes so people of all faiths can deepen their spirituality and live a better story. A husband and father, he graduated from Stanford University in 2000, and was ordained a rabbi in 2006. His book, What Every Christian Needs to Know About the Jewishness of Jesus was a 2015 best-seller. His next book – The Happiness Prayer: Ancient Jewish Wisdom for the Best Way to Live Today – reveals an ancient Jewish prayer whose teachings open the door to happiness and meaning for people of all faiths.
