(NORTH) Death – A Part of Living: Responding in Faith to Contemporary Challenges

with Gina Wolfe

Monday, September 11 | 7 – 8:30 p.m.

As people of faith, we live in the certainty of God’s saving power and love for each of us. This certainty fuels our hope in eternal life. At the same time, it calls us to acknowledge our full humanity and to recognize death as a part of life. Advances in modern medicine, changes in social attitudes toward death and dying, and public policies present us with many challenges. Gina Wolfe, a professor of moral theology at Catholic Theological Union, will help us consider how we, as a resurrection people, might approach challenging end of life issues in our own lives and the lives of those we love.

Gina Wolfe is an associate professor at Catholic Theological Union. In addition to teaching courses in moral theology, she directs the Master of Divinity Program. She is a Senior Wicklander Fellow at the Institute for Business and Professional Ethics at DePaul University. Gina has worked in the fields of market research and economic research and forecasting and was on the editorial staff of The Tablet, based in London, England. She is co-author of the forthcoming Global Women Leaders: Breaking Boundaries and co-editor of Ethics and World Religions: Cross-cultural Case Studies. She has a bachelor’s degree from McDonough School of Business Georgetown University, a master’s degree from the Jesuit School of Theology in Chicago and a PhD from King’s College London University of London.
