Coprodeli USA

Founded by Fr. Miguel Ranera, a Spanish missionary priest living in Peru, Coprodeli serves the poorest of the poor in the 30 barrios of Callao, Peru where between 80 to 90% of the populations basic needs are not being met, and they live in extreme poverty.

A. GENERAL INFORMATION:

Nature of Our Programs:  COPRODELI carries out socio-economic development programs to help those in immediate need and to combat the root causes of poverty.  It manages education, health, humanitarian aid, social service, employment, and housing programs that benefit communities living in extreme poverty in Peru.

Our History: Founded in 1998, COPRODELI USA is a Chicago-based non-profit organization dedicated to the comprehensive development of the poorest children and families of Callao, Peru.  Volunteers from the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and from among the disadvantaged people of Peru provide hope and vital services to those in need. COPRODELI serves more than 4,000 beneficiaries monthly within 30 “barrios” of Callao, Peru. 

Geographic Area and Beneficiaries We Serve: COPRODELI works for the comprehensive development of poor communities in Callao (North Lima), Peru. COPRODELI manages programs that serve more than 50,000 people yearly in some of the most impoverished communities in Peru. 

B. SERVICE TRIP: In an effort to strengthen the grassroots programs and activities carried out in Peru, Coprodeli USA organizes two service trips per year.  Volunteers spend one week in Peru with other volunteers living and working among the children of Coprodeli.  The donated time and attention are precious resources that volunteers can bring to the schools, residences, medical centers, and dental clinics of Callao and Pachacutec.

Habitat for Peruvian Humanity

Where in the world can $1,500 buy a needy family a new home?   Pachacutec, Peru. When you contribute to the Touchstone Project, your dollars turn cardboard into concrete. With a generous grant from the Peruvian government, Coprodeli is building affordable homes for those in need. Coprodeli pays part, the family provides "sweat equity" and you provide the rest.
