Share Your Voice, Support Old St. Pat's
Would You Be Willing To Share Your Thoughts With Us?
Old St. Pat’s will again be participating in the Disciple Maker Index (DMI) Survey, a nationwide survey of Catholic perspectives. The survey will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and ask for your perspective on our efforts to live out our Old St. Pat’s Mission and Vision. The questions cover a wide variety of faith-based topics. We encourage all household members who are juniors in high school or older to fill out a survey.
This 10–15-minute survey can be accessed through an online link from now through Palm Sunday (March 29th). It’s easy with all responses confidential, and Old St. Pat’s will only receive information about the community as a whole.
In the last Disciple Maker survey conducted in 2023, Old St. Pat’s was in the top 5 participating church membership completing over 1,100 surveys. Let your voice again be heard by going to bit.ly/DiscipleMakerSurvey. Thanks in advance for your participation and more information to follow after Easter when we report the results. For questions or information, contact Bridget at [email protected].
FAQs for the Disciple Maker Index (DMI) Survey
Who should fill out the survey?
All members of Old St. Patrick's in your household who are juniors in high school or older are invited to complete the survey. The survey will close Sunday, March 29th (Palm Sunday).
How long will it take to complete?
It should take between 10-15 minutes, though it may take you more or less time, depending on your time to reflect. If you have school-aged children, the survey will ask you a few additional questions.
What are they going to ask me?
The DMI Survey asks about your faith life and your experience of church life, and includes some demographic questions. All questions are multiple choice. There are no right or wrong answers, and all responses are confidential. Old St. Pat's will receive information about overall responses, but we have no way to identify an individual's responses.
I filled out a survey in 2023, should I do it again? Why is it important?
YES! The Archdiocese of Chicago has requested that all Chicagoland Catholics take this survey to help churches identify strengths and needs. The survey intentionally asks the same questions in 2026 that it did in 2023 so that we are able to compare responses across time.
Who wrote the questions included in this survey?
The DMI Survey was developed by the Catholic Leadership Institute, a national organization. Parishes and dioceses are not able to edit or add to the survey.
How can I find out the results?
Our goal is to share what we have learned during the Easter season, depending on when the completed results are released back to Old St. Patrick's.
