Dear Friends and Family of Old St. Pat’s:
Thank you so much for your prayers and participation in the first annual Homeless Person’s Memorial at Old St. Pat’s Church on Tuesday, December 21, 2010. As Tim McCabe, SJ, and Tom Drexler of the Ignatian Spirituality Project wrote, “It was inspiring to work with your colleagues and be part of a team of people who came to the table with generous hearts and eager to share their time, talents, and prayers. The evening exceeded all of our expectations in its form and its scope. It was the very best experience of what it means to be Church, to proclaim the dignity of all human beings, especially the poor and most vulnerable among us. Thank you for making this possible.”
Thank you to the Ignatian Spirituality Project, the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, Harmony Hope and Healing Choir, and to Old St. Pat’s for, once again, “doing great Church.” We hope to make this annual event, so save the date: Wednesday, December 21 on your 2011 calendar!
