Sundays during Lent (February 26th - March 26th) We hear the Gospel proclaimed every Sunday. Perhaps we even read the Gospel as a personal spiritual practice. But where can we go if we just want to talk with others about what we hear in the Sunday Gospels? Go and Do Likewise: Living the Gospel is a thirty minute session, scheduled for five Sundays in Lent, that invites us into dialogue with the Sunday Gospel and one another. No registration is necessary. |

Book Discussion: The Spirituality of ImperfectionOnline Discussion via Zoom
Saturday, March 4, 10am–11:30am Please join us for part one of our prayer chapel's Lenten book discussion, The Spirituality of Imperfection by Kurtz & Ketcham. This book brings together the wisdom stories of many traditions and faiths, from the Hebrew prophets, Buddhist sages and Christian teachers to the ancient Greeks and the modern insights of Alcoholics Anonymous. It is a book about storytelling and our search for meaning as we encounter life's inevitable difficulties and sufferings. |
Turning to Jesus Our CompanionLent can be a time when we bring the worries, pains and sorrows that weigh on our hearts to the one who understands and whose wisdom has practical application to our own life situation. Jesus, whose yoke is easy and burden light, offers us a loving, empathic, and ever-present companionship. The grace of his presence is experienced through scripture, reflection, and community, wherever two or more are gathered in his name. So, please gather with us when you can. Our chapel prayer this Lent will use Sr. Joyce Rupp’s brand new Lenten devotional, Jesus, Companion in My Suffering.
