Join the Old St. Pat’s Cheer Team for the Chicago Marathon. Sunday, October 13th. Old St. Patrick’s is the ½ point for the marathon and has a long history of supporting this world marathon major race. It’s a great way to get volunteer hours done for school, invite your friends and family and be with other St. Pat’s Members, bring family and friends. First time attending the marathon, no problem we will help you get your cheer going along with our two Old St. Pat’s DJs - Andre and Johnny! While supplies last all cheer station volunteers will get: An Old St. Pat’s Cheer team t-shirt, and Old St. Pat’s ball cap or bucket hat, thunder sticks, pom poms, cow bells, posters to decorate, and refreshments. After the marathon, all runners and runner's dedicated supporters are invited to attend Mass at 5 pm at Old St. Patrick’s Church with Fr. Pat McGrath for a special blessing. Don’t forget to wear your medal! Directions and Parking The Chicago Marathon course will be heading west on Adams from Wacker, running right by Old St. Pat's. Please note that due to the runners, it will be difficult to cross Adams. Mass goers should approach from the Northside of the building. |
