Listening Campaign Survey Now Live!
“Children, let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth.”
1 John 3:18
We know many of you leave Old St. Pat’s on Sunday to carry out deeds and live a truth that reflects the Gospel. I know nurses, teachers, labor organizers, mothers, care-givers, and hospitality workers who sit in our pews each Sunday and put their heart into their individual vocation each day. And we know we have collective power as church, as community, as ONE Body of Christ to create positive change.
The past few months, we have been doing a Listening Campaign to hear directly from YOU to understand what social issues you care about and how you think we can use our collective power for good. We are using your insights to figure out how we will address core injustices facing our city and country. There is a lot we could do. We want to find out what we will do. This work is for everyone – children, parents, young adults, older adults, suburban and city residents. This is our faith in action.
Take five minutes this week to fill out our online form and share your voice in the last part of our Listening Campaign: http://bit.ly/ListenUpOSP
Please share this with OSP members and encourage folks to participate! Share with them what social issues YOU are passionate about. Dream up what our church can do together to make a tangible impact in our corner of the world to dismantle unjust systems. This is our call. This is our faith in action.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our recent Listening Campaign, whether as a listener, a host or neighbor at a house meeting, or a new member who recently joined Old St. Pat’s. You are also encouraged to fill out the form and continue telling us what we can all do to make justice and love more real in our city and our country. Let’s keep the momentum up and remember our Gospel call to practice mercy, compassion, courage, and love. Amen!
