The purpose of the Adoption Group is to provide a supportive and social network for adoptive families and to provide information that fosters understanding, respect and appreciation of the adoptive individual’s unique beginnings, heritage and culture.

St. Mary of the Lake, 4220 N Sheridan Rd, Chicago | Parking is available in the church lot on Sheridan, with overflow parking available on Buena and Kenmore. Join us for a relaxed afternoon of sunshine, good food, and meaningful connection with others who share the unique bonds of adoption and foster care. Whether you’re an adoptee, foster parent, adoptive family member, or part of the extended support circle, this gathering is all about community, understanding, and celebrating our stories together. This is a casual, family-friendly event where everyone can feel seen, supported, and included. They provide a forum for families to connect, share stories, and support each other who are experiencing the adoption or foster journey.
