We look forward to welcoming your child into our faith. The following information will help you get started. I would like to baptize my child at Old St. Patrick’s Infant baptisms are held on two Sundays a month, with ceremonies at both 1pm and 2:30pm. To schedule a baptism for your child, please fill out the form found here. That form lists all dates for which we currently have availability. I am baptizing my child at another parish, but I would like to do baptism prep at Old St. Pat’s We are happy to have you do your baptism prep with us. Classes are held once a month on Sundays, via Zoom, at 2pm. To register for an upcoming class, click here. I’d like to have my child baptized at Old St. Pat’s. What do I need to do?
We are excited to welcome your child into the faith through baptism. To get started, fill out the Baptism Registration Form found below. You will have the chance to indicate which dates work for your schedule. We will then be in touch with you with available times so that we can reserve a space for you.
What paperwork do I need to baptize my child?
In addition to the Baptism Registration Form, will need a copy of your child’s birth certificate. This can be a scan or photo emailed to [email protected], or you are welcome to mail in a copy.
How can I make my online donation for my child’s baptism?

Do I need to attend a baptism prep class?
If this is your first child being baptized, you will need to attend a baptism prep class. Classes are offered once a month at 3pm in Hughes Hall. The dates are on the registration form. You are welcome to attend a class at a different parish that offers a more convenient time and location for you and simply send us the completion paperwork.
What are the requirements for godparents?
You should choose a godparent or godparents who will support you in raising your child in a life of faith. At least one godparent must be a Catholic over the age of 16 who has received the sacrament of Confirmation. If a godparent isn’t able to be present at the ceremony, you may have a proxy stand in for him or her.
How long is the ceremony? Is it a full Mass?
Group baptisms are only the Rite of Baptism and are not a full Mass. The ceremony will last about 45 minutes.
How many other children will be baptized with my child?
There are up to seven infants baptized at each group baptism. Toddler baptisms have up to five children baptized during the ceremony.
Can I request a specific priest to baptize my child?
Our presider schedule is set based on availability and other schedules, so we aren’t able to guarantee a particular priest. All baptisms are performed by one of our wonderful priests or deacons at Old St. Pat’s.
