STEP 1: REVIEW MUSIC GUIDELINES
STEP 2: REVIEW OSP REPERTOIRE AND MAKE SELECTIONS
STEP 3: REVIEW CANTOR OPTIONS
STEP 4: SUBMIT REQUEST FORM (for cantor / instrumentalists AND music line up)
What To Expect Next...
About 4 weeks prior to the date of your wedding, a final confirmation will be sent containing your list of musical selections and the names and fee amounts for your musicians. In order to secure each musician for your wedding, we require payment in advance of your wedding date, with payments made to each individual musician. Names and instructions will be provided with the final confirmation. We prefer electronic methods of payments via Zelle and Venmo (though checks are still accepted, just not preferred).
- We have included wedding music guidelines to help direct your selection process and answer questions about appropriate music choices. Please review these before planning your music.
- Please also note the Cancellation Policy for our wedding musicians (effective 5/1/17)
STEP 2: REVIEW OSP REPERTOIRE AND MAKE SELECTIONS
- The repertoire of wedding music at Old St. Patrick's is extensive and varied. Please review our wedding music repertoire page, which is broken down by the major sections of your wedding liturgy or ceremony. Most of this repertoire can be heard at the Wedding Music Fairs, as noted below, or here at Sunday mass.
- We ask that you make your selections from this list, with the understanding that our director of music may need to substitute a piece from our varied and vibrant Sunday repertoire in keeping with this request.
- Wedding Fair - consider attending one of our 2-times-a-year Wedding Music Fairs. These are held in the church in early February and October. Our next in person fair is planned for February 3, 2025. These provide the opportunity for couples to hear the many talented and skilled cantors who sing for weddings, as well as a string quartet, trumpet, and Irish traditional instruments, and they present excerpts of the best and most effective repertoire selections we have found for wedding celebrations.
- Registration is not required though we do ask for a free-will donation to support the cost of the evening. You can make that offering in advance here.
- Watch a recent recorded wedding fair here: October 2023 | February 2023 | June 2022 | February 2022 | October 2021 | February 2020
STEP 3: REVIEW CANTOR OPTIONS
- Visit our Wedding Music Cantors page for more information on our talented wedding cantors. Selection of your preferred wedding cantor(s) along with the information above is required for submitting your request to the Music Office.
- Note that many of our cantors are busy professionals in music and other lines of work. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences but appreciate your flexibility in identifying your preferences. All cantors will be selected from the list available on this site.
STEP 4: SUBMIT REQUEST FORM (for cantor / instrumentalists AND music line up)
- When you've made all of your final music choices from the wedding music fair or this site, please complete the OSP Wedding Music and Musicians Request Form. This is for your cantor(s) AND instrumentalists AND music selections -- all in one form! Please do not send this in separate pieces.
- Once ALL this information is received, we will begin the process of booking your musicians for you, and a confirmation of all selections, musicians hired, and further instructions will be emailed back to you within a few weeks. All musicians will be officially hired and confirmed through the music office of Old St. Patrick’s ONLY.
- Please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected] with any questions you may have; remember that we are here to help make this as easy a process as possible for you. Include the time and date of your wedding, as well as both your last names, in the subject line of all correspondence with the Music Office.

STEP 5: Worship Aid
If you are interested in having a wedding program, we invite you to create these on your own and have them printed. We do not currently offer design services for worship aids / programs but we can offer you use of our templates.
We highly recommended extending this piece of Old St. Pat's hospitality to your guests so they can feel welcome, sing and respond confidently (in affirmation of YOU!), and have a program to follow along.
