Family Ministry at Old St. Pat's


At Old St. Patrick's, we believe in nurturing not just faith, but community, ensuring that every individual finds a place where they are welcomed, supported, and empowered to grow spiritually. We welcome you to come together in community through Family Ministry where we work in partnership to foster connection, promote socialization, and offer support.

Sunday, January 11, 2026 | Old St. Patrick's Hughes Hall | 11:30 AM Lunch followed by 12:00 PM Bingo 
Family: $40 includes lunch and 5 Bingo Cards
Individual: $10 includes lunch and 1 bingo Card
Additional Bingo Cards available for purchase at $5 each
Registration in advance is helpful, but walk ins are welcome.

Partners Religious Education

Old St. Patrick's Partners Program was created to form a connection with parents to bring religious education to the children in our community. The program offers thematic classes for children in preschool through Confirmation that enriches their understanding of God, the Church, sacraments, religious holidays, and values.

Foundations Youth Ministry

Foundations Youth Ministry is committed to fostering fellowship, spirituality, and service with the teens of Old St. Patrick’s in building the Kingdom of God in our world. The program is comprised of high school students from a variety of high schools in and around Chicagoland. Foundations meets most Sunday mornings throughout the school year. Additional days are dedicated toward teens’ participation in service projects, retreats, summer service trips, and many other fun events.

Adoption Group

The purpose of the Adoption Group is to provide a supportive and social network for adoptive families and to provide information that fosters understanding, respect and appreciation of the adoptive individual’s unique beginnings, heritage and culture.

Children's Liturgy of the World (CLOW)

A special part of the family Sunday experience at Old St. Patrick’s Church for children ages Kindergarten through second grade is “Children’s Liturgy of the Word” (CLOW) ministry. Children are invited s to learn about the readings of the day in a child-friendly manner. We engage in activities to support the children’s understanding of the gospel message.​

Parents & Tots

Kid-friendly Bible Studies, Rosary playgroups & holiday events! Connect with other Old St. Pat's parents that are in a similar stage of life and bring your little ones to play alongside you as you celebrate and grow in the catholic faith. ​For parents with at least one child between the ages of 0-3 years old Older siblings welcome!

The Family School 

The Family School was created in 1993 by parents who acknowledge that both Catholicism and Judaism are meaningful ways to find God. The Family School explores the common moral code and shared heritage of the two faiths while instilling a sense of belonging to the  Catholic Jewish community. Students from kindergarten to eighth grade experience both Catholicism  and Judaism at age-appropriate levels.

Special Friends Mass

Special Friends Masses are intended for members of our faith community with diverse abilities who may struggle to attend a traditional Mass. It is a place of welcome, encouragement, and triumph where Christ’s presence feels palpable among us and from where we help to bring Christ into the world.

St. Pat's Opportunities for Kids to Experience Service (S.P.O.K.E.S)

Inspired by Old St. Patrick’s Community Outreach Group, SPOKES (St. Pat's Opportunities for Kids to Experience Service) was formed to introduce our children to Service projects in which they can make a difference to others and share Grace with others near and far.
