To all of our new Sunday Giving donors! We’re thrilled to share that we’re one-third of the way toward meeting Fr. Pat’s 10% challenge.
We are deeply humbled by the continued generosity of our current Sunday Giving donors, many of whom have thoughtfully increased their support. Your commitment makes a real difference in the life of our community. There are just a few weeks left in our annual Sunday Giving Program, please consider joining in or renewing your commitment by November 30. Together, we can reach our goal and continue to strengthen Old St. Pat’s. If you have not yet received the 2025 Stewardship Report: Walking Together , pick one up in the vestibule or visit bit.ly/OSPStewardshipReport2025 for an interactive version of the report. It captures the impact of your giving and the countless ways you've supported the Mission and Vision of Old St. Pat's. |
Together, We Are Old St. Pat'sThis Stewardship Giving challenge isn't just about sustaining what we have; it's about stepping forward into what we believe God is calling us to do next. It's about helping more people experience the love, hope and community that defines Old St. Pat's.
Thank you for everything you've done to bring us to this moment. Now, as we move forward together, we invite you to take the next meaningful step. If each of us gives what we can - or becomes a regular Sunday Giving donor - we will reach our 10% Challenge. |

For those I haven’t met, my name is Brooke Groulx. My husband, Marc, and I live in Oak Park and have been part of the Old St. Pat’s community since 2006. We’re the parents of four beautifully unique children—Coralai, Grayson, Sterling, and Isabelle.
I was raised in a Protestant tradition rooted in love, justice, and service, while Marc grew up Catholic. So when it came time to find a church for our family, we wanted a place that honored both our backgrounds—a community where spirituality and service weren’t just preached, but lived. When we found Old St. Pat’s, it felt like coming home. When our children were little, getting everyone to Mass depended on how well they slept the night before. We gave to the church the way our parents did—placing something in the basket on Sunday mornings—but it wasn’t always consistent. Life was busy, and faith sometimes fit where it could. As our kids grew, we began to find our rhythm—attending Mass more regularly, volunteering as Partners teachers, and serving with Spokes. Around that time, when our oldest was preparing for her First Communion and I was expecting our fourth, I felt a stirring. I didn’t want to just attend church; I wanted to live it. I entered the RCIA program and formally joined the Catholic Church so I could receive the Eucharist alongside my daughter. I wanted my children to see me praying the Rosary and to know that faith isn’t an obligation—it’s a way of life. Over the years, we’ve witnessed the incredible impact Old St. Pat’s has on its members and the wider community. That’s why we decided to make our giving consistent by setting up a monthly recurring gift online. It was easy, and it allowed us to be intentional—to budget for what matters most. And because our giving is steady, the church can plan ahead and continue to do great work. Every week, we hear about programs that change lives, worship that uplifts, and outreach that brings hope. We—all of us—make that possible. So today, I invite you to join me in committing to a monthly recurring gift. Together, we can continue to lead a movement of change—one marked by radical inclusivity, exquisite worship, and transformative kinship. |
The Lynch FamilyWhile my husband Joe and I were first inspired by Old St. Pat’s long before we were married, it wasn’t until after we moved to the western suburbs that we actually became full time members of the parish. Old St. Patrick’s has become a spiritual home for our entire family. With four kids now ages 17 to 23, it’s rare to find a place where everyone feels equally welcomed, moved and inspired–but Old St. Pat’s is that place for us.
The Foundations youth group has been especially meaningful for our children where they were able to partake in the mission of OSP to "Encounter the God that loves you, Engage the community that welcomes you, and Serve the world that needs you". Beyond the ministries that we are involved with, we are continually inspired by the homilies which are deeply thoughtful, often challenging, and always hopeful. Every mass leaves us reflecting more deeply, encouraging us to live more faithfully. And the music–exquisite in every sense! The music consistently brings the liturgy to life in a way that is both soul-stirring and joyful. Mark and his team elevate the entire worship experience for me (I wonder if our kids have stopped being embarrassed, or at least become accustomed to my tearing up at numerous cantors over the years?) While people may give for many reasons, we choose to donate to Old St. Pat’s because we believe in the mission. We believe in the people. It’s not just about sustaining a church, it’s about sustaining a movement of love, justice and radical hospitality. Supporting OSP financially is our way of saying thank you to this place that provides a place of beauty, belonging and spiritual depth for all that walk through the doors. |
