Ministry of Care & Healing
During times of sickness, Old St. Patrick's ministers offer compassionate presence and are trained to bring the Eucharist to our members in the hospital, as well as to those who are homebound. To those who are able, Old St. Pat’s offers the Sacrament of Anointing as part of the 12:10 pm Mass on the third Wednesday of the month. All are welcome, especially those who are sick or suffering in any way, mind, body, or spirit
Ministry of Care, Home Visits with the Eucharist
At Old St. Pat’s we understand that “sometimes our members cannot come to us, we must go to them.” To us this means that sometimes, we need to offer compassionate presence by entering into another’s arena, listening to another’s story, and responding to another’s need. Too often we under estimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
In this ministry, we bring the bread of life to someone who cannot come to our Church. We have ministers who are trained to bringing the Eucharist to our members in the hospital, as well as to those who are homebound.
