Partners Religious Education
It's been said that it takes a village to raise a child. Here at Old St. Patrick's we believe it takes a community to help us on the journey to "find" God. With this in mind, the Partners Program was created to form a connection with parents to bring religious education to the children in our community.
The Partners Program offers thematic classes for children in preschool through Confirmation that enriches their understanding of God, the Church, sacraments, religious holidays, and values. The teachers use stories from Sacred Scriptures and religious textbooks in the classes. Parents are expected to participate in workshops on the first Sunday of each month to help develop the monthly theme at home and foster the partnership. Classes are held twice a month on Sunday mornings from 10:15 to 11:30 in the Frances Xavier Warde School classrooms from September through April.

Partners Religious Education 2025-2026
Registration for Partners Religious Education, (Kindergarten to 8th grade) opens to new families on May 1st. Early bird pricing ends June 30th. Registration closes July 31st.
Foundation's Youth Ministry's (9th to 12 grade) registration is open year-round.
Class will be held on Sunday morning. Families are encouraged to attend the 9:00am mass in the church. Class will immediately follow from 10:15am to 11:30am in the Frances Xavier Warde School. Class dates are listed below.

- First Communion typically takes place when a child is in 2nd grade. OSP requires one year of Religious Education PRIOR to registering for First Communion. If that has not been met, please sign your child up for 1st grade.
- Reconciliation typically takes place in 3rd grade.
- Confirmation is a two year process. The preparation begins in Fall of 7th grade and Confirmation will take place in the Spring of their 8th-grade year.
