Ceremony, Flowers, Music and Photography
HOW LONG DOES EACH COUPLE HAVE USE OF THE CHURCH?
Two hours in total — 40 minutes preceding the ceremony until 20 minutes after the hour following the ceremony. For example, 12:20 to 2:20 for the 1 p.m. ceremony. Since we have a full schedule, all weddings must start on time. Late starts result in shorter time allotment for photos after the ceremony.
WHO DO I CONTACT REGARDING MUSIC?
Contact [email protected]. The average fee for musicians is $225-250 and at least 2 musicians are required. You have the opportunity to preview wedding music, soloists and ensembles at the Wedding Music Fair held the first Monday in February, June, and October.
WHERE ARE FLOWERS ALLOWED?
Fresh flowers are welcome for the bride, attendants, groomsmen, sign of peace and Blessed Virgin. They are allowed at the base of the center or side stairs in the back of church. Floral pieces are not allowed on the altar, attached the pews or directly on the marble floor.
Flower girls can carry flowers in baskets, but not drop or give away flowers.
If flowers are ordered, you will need flower stands or pedestals. Old St. Pat’s does not have flower stands, nor can we store stands. They must be removed immediately after the wedding, along with the flowers. Flowers may only be delivered 40 to 50 minutes before the ceremony.
Old St. Pat’s existing floral arrangements may not be moved or removed.

CAN I USE AN AISLE RUNNER?
The use of paper or cloth aisle runners are not allowed. We have a white marble “aisle runner” integrated into the center aisle of the church.
DOES OLD ST. PAT’S HAVE ALTAR SERVERS?
No. However, you may invite servers with the permission of your priest. Please understand that we do not provide vestments for them.
CAN WE THROW RICE/BIRDSEED, HAVE BALLOONS, BLOW BUBBLES OR RELEASE DOVES?
None of these are allowed. No pets, wagons, or other vehicles permitted.
Many couples opt for small bells. Some couples hire a bagpiper or trumpeter for the exit.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHERS AND VIDEOGRAPHERS?
These vendors must be chosen from the Old St. Pat’s approved list. Thank you in advance for cooperating with this very important policy. The list is furnished when your wedding date is confirmed.
We ask that photographers use natural light, respect the sacredness of the mass and refrain from entering the sanctuary during mass/ceremony.
The use of cell phone cameras is prohibited during the ceremony.
