We usually offer Wedding Music Fairs throughout the year, as well as digital versions of previous wedding fairs. The wedding music website is the starting point for planning the music component of your wedding at OSP. All musicians and cantors for weddings at OSP are to be secured through this website in conjunction with the Director of Music.
For the in-person, or virtual wedding fairs, brides, grooms, wedding party members, and extended family members are all encouraged to attend. Attendees will hear a wide selection of music in a broad range of styles. All selections are appropriate for a wedding celebration and will be performed by a number of different instrumentalists and singers. The program features strings, piano, trumpet, oboe, traditional Irish instrumentalists, bagpipes, and six to eight singers. Brides and grooms planning a wedding at OSP (or elsewhere), mothers and fathers planning their child’s wedding, and couples planning an anniversary celebration will all benefit by attending a Wedding Music Fair.
By the same token, these beautiful events have become so popular that folks who enjoy an evening of great music have been known to join in the festivities! So come to what some refer to as “The cheapest and best concert on a Monday night in downtown Chicago.”
There is a $5 donation per person at the door. Prelude music begins at 6:45 pm.
