Neighbor2Neighbor with North Lawndale 
A 7-episode virtual tour and conversation sponsored by the North Lawndale Kinship Initiative, a ministry of the Old St. Patrick’s Catholic Faith Community 

SCHEDULE:  Videos will be shared once a month from April to December, 2021 (except July & August) 

OBJECTIVE:  Introducing Old St. Pat’s members and friends to leadership, participants and missions of organizations partnering with OSP through the North Lawndale Kinship Initiative. Segments include video taped interviews, fun facts and performances hosted by Johnny Jones and Whitney Smith who are both North Lawndale residents.

April 2021 | N2N Episode 1 - Opportunities for Life-Changing Reparations 
An examination of efforts to remove barriers to employment for job seekers, and community based youth sports and recreation as means of opportunity and social advancement.  Also a call to action to attend the Lawndale 1000 Man March on May 1, 2021. 
May 2021 |  N2N Episode 2 - Places of Solace, Refuge and Renewal 

A look at North Lawndale’s Celestial Ministries, Phoenix Hall, Firehouse Community Arts Center and the Young Men’s Education Network, four life-changing youth service organizations, and impactful adult literacy programming at the Learning Center.
June 2021  | N2N Episode 3 - A Community Approach to Youth Recreation

A recap of the Lawndale 1000 Man March, and reflections on the “Pay to Play'' environment in youth sports. The UCAN and Play Like A Champion organizations and the North Lawndale Athletic and Recreation Association will be featured. ​
September 2021 | N2N Episode 4 - Second Chances through Restorative Justice

Stories about North Lawndale’s Hope House, Lawndale Christian Legal Center and Restorative Justice Community Court and their collaborations with Old St. Pat’s.  The new Old St. Pat’s Lawyers Guild will also be featured.  

October 2021 | N2N Episode 5 - Educating A New Generation 

The North Lawndale College Prep High School, The Learning Center and the new STEAM elementary school planned for the North Lawndale neighborhood will be spotlighted. 

November 2021 | N2N Episode 6 - Kinship and Catholic Social Teaching 

Stories of Old St. Pat’s members sharing hospitality and hope with people of Hope House and My Brother’s Kitchen, health and community services efforts with Mt. Sinai Hospital, an initiative to build 1000 new homes and additional housing provided by the Build Each Other Up.  ​

December 2021 | N2N Episode 7 - Partnering for Progress 

Stories about: the North Lawndale Marketing Committee, the North Lawndale Community Coordinating Council and anti racism advocacy through St. Agatha Church and the Old St. Pat’s ’Racial Equity and Justice Initiative. Board Members for various organizations and Liaisons to Kinship partner organizations will share perspectives.
