Monday Evening Rosary Group

The Monday Evening Rosary Group begins praying the Rosary via ZOOM every Monday at 6:00PM. All are welcome and we encourage you to come and join us during this time. To receive a link to pray with the group, please contact us at: [email protected]
You can also follow us on Facebook as “Monday Evening Rosary Group”

Day: Monday
Time: 6:00PM (5:50PM connect)

Location: Zoom
OSP Facilitators: Beth Marek, OSP Outreach
Group Prayer Leader: Ann Engles
The Group focus is on a scriptural recitation of the Holy Rosary and we strive to make prayer a meditative time. In order to do this, each participant is asked to “mute” their device if not reciting intentions, prayers or responses. For members in other time zones please note that Chicago is CST.
  • The Group experience begins at 6:00 p.m.(CST) and lasts for approximately 30 minutes. Please join the link at 5:50 p.m. (CST) to ensure a timely start to prayer at 6:00 p.m.
  • Rosary prayer is guided by the Prayer Leader. The Prayer Leader welcomes those attending, lifts up gratitudes/intentions and begins the prayers of the Holy Rosary followed by the Litany.
  • Members are given the opportunity to participate in reciting the prayers of the Rosary and Litany. No one is obliged to take part aloud, and you are welcome to attend and follow along quietly, but please keep your Zoom setting on “mute.”
  • All announcements relating to Rosary Group activities are shared after prayer is completed.
  • Zoom link and prayer assignments arrive by email on Sunday. If you plan to attend please connect via ZOOM at 5:50 PM(CST) to allow for a timely start of intentions at 6:00 PM(CST)

Testimonials

Holy Rosary has come into the lives of many around the world for different reasons but with one common desire; to come closer to God. The names Fatima and Lourdes bring to mind the messages from the Blessed Mother to “Pray the Rosary.” Members of the Monday Evening Rosary Group would like to share what the Holy Rosary means to them.

2024 Monthly Intentions

The Monthly Intention is shared prior to the start of prayer. This is followed by Global Intentions read by the Prayer Leader and then a quiet moment for members to silently reflect upon their personal intentions.
JANUARY: The first three Hail Mary’s of the Holy Rosary are an expression of the special communion with your grace, O Lord. This is the spirit in which we say this New Year Holy Rosary; with Faith, Hope and Charity in order that we might emulate the virtues of The Blessed Mother.

FEBRUARY: Our Lady of Lourdes, keep your family safe, with loving care, relying on your Son’s heavenly grace and our devotion to the Holy Rosary.

MARCH: We pray that the children of the world are held in loving hands by their parents, as Joseph and Mary showed Jesus. May these families face challenges together and be strengthened by their devotion to your Son, O Blessed Mother.

APRIL: Let us pray that we feel the love of God through the blessings of family and friends and share that light with those in need.

MAY: Blessed are you, O Lord our God, ruler of the Universe. We pray for the leaders of nations and people. May they lead with empathy and contribute to the betterment of the World.

JUNE: Compassionate God, we pray for those who suffer. Please watch over them. May those among us bound so tightly with pain, experience healing and freedom as children of God.

JULY: Merciful and forgiving God, we pray for all who suffer at the hands of others. We pray for the victims of violence from Ukraine to the streets of Chicago. Let there be peace.

AUGUST: O Blessed Mother, Queen of Peace, we pray that reciting the ancient prayers of the Holy Rosary gives us the strength and courage to do God’s will.

SEPTEMBER: O loving God, we pray that your love and mercy will help us to turn evil to good, hatred to love, despair to hope, betrayal to faithfulness and death to eternal life.

OCTOBER: O Blessed Mother, we pray that during this month of the Holy Rosary, we are able to share your message of Pray the Rosary. May
we set an example for others that these powerful ancient prayers are what please your Son, Jesus Christ.

NOVEMBER: Let us pray during this time of Thanksgiving, that your love will bless all people, bless Your church and inspire us to act justly and live kindly with all people everywhere.

DECEMBER: Blessed Virgin Mary, please hear our prayers during this glorious season and in your gentle way show us how to emulate your love, devotion and strength.
